SPIDER project presented work ‘Showcase of Active Learning and Teaching Practices in Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) Education’ on this year’s AGILE conference 2022 in Vilnius, Lithuania. The paper shows in which way Active Learning and Teaching (ALT) practices can be and have already been implemented in SDI education at the Partner universities. The paper also shows how COVID-19 functioned as a catalyst for implementing ALT practices to an online environment. The work was presented by Carsten Kessler, professor for Geoinformation Systems and Spatial Analysis from Department of Geodesy at Bochum University of Applied Sciences (Germany).
