In Zagreb, on November 9, 2019, on the second day of the kick-off meeting of H2020 project TODO – Twinning Open Data Operational, Prof. Dr. Ulrike Klein presented project SPIDER and its goals. While TODO has a main objective to increase research excellence of the University of Zagreb in open data domain through interdisciplinarity and multidomain approach, SPIDER is more concentrated on developing active teaching activities for open spatial data infrastructures. TU Delft and Faculty of Geodesy, University of Zagreb are institutions that are active on both project as well as open spatial data is a topic on both projects, too. The idea for SPIDER came from networking that was established through the TODO project and is an example of developing new opportunities for research and educational institutions through joint project activities.
